From the South

Brethren,

May was an exciting month starting off with our Stated Dinner. Thank you to Worshipful Joe Alarcon, Worshipful Humberto Flores, and Brother Frank Sepulveda and their lovely wives for organizing and making the dinner a real special event. The food was excellent & on top of it all we were treated to entertainment provided by Brother Tony Gonzales. I speak for everyone in saying that we truly enjoyed ourselves.

Soon after, our next event was Pat's Run. TEAM Friendship did an outstanding job despite the Muller family's late start! We all had a great time. TEAM Friendship celebrated our victory afterwards at the Britannia Arms pub to spend a little more time together, revel in our accomplishment, and enjoy the beautiful day.

Many enjoyed themselves on the Napa Valley Wine Train. Although I was not able to attend, I heard nothing but good things about the trip. The food was delicious topped off by a beautiful scenic train ride. All who went enjoyed a lovely afternoon.

The Sabercats arena football game was an exciting fast-paced evening. Family & friends enjoyed an evening of riotous fun with our local arena football team, enjoyed snacks, and clapped 'til our hands hurt & cheered 'til our voices were hoarse. We really had a great time!

On the JUNE calendar we more exciting events planned:

We will begin the month with our annual Hawaiian Dinner prepared by yours truly & my lovely wife Aleina. Be prepared to be treated to a dinner that is ONO (good), ah, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

On Saturday, June 21st we will be celebrating our annual Masonic Picnic at Vasona Park. This is one of our best attended events to kick off the start of summer. Brother Tony Gonzales has already agreed to delight our taste buds with his special BBQ marinade. This is a great way to spend a day with Friendship Lodge. Hope to see you there!

Save the date! Mark your calendar for these upcoming events including the Improv Comedy Night on July 26th & our lodge camping trip at Casa de Fruta August 15th - 17th.

Remember, in order to keep the dinner price as low as possible and avoid any more price increases, please be sure to call or email 2 to 3 days in advance to reserve a seat for dinner. We do have standing reservations available if you are interested.

Aloha & Fraternally-
