On September 17, 1787, the final draft of the Constitution was signed. We marked the occasion on September 17 of this year with a Constitutional Observance and Masonic Information Night event. Members of several lodges were treated to a program that included the Heroes of '76 (a patriotic team of veterans who delivered a special program on the American flag), story teller David Kimball (describing Ben Franklin's advice to convention delegates), music of the Palo Alto Players, and Wor. Robert D. Rowan, Jr., Assistant Grand Lecturer, Div I (delivering the keynote address). Wor. Royce M. Ford, Inspector of the 172nd Masonic District, was the master of ceremonies of this multi-lodge event held a Los Altos Masonic Hall.
